Personal Care Assistant, Beeston Nottingham – NOTRD1907

I am a lady in my late 20s with a range of disabilities which affect many areas of daily life.

I
am looking for caring, patient and dedicated individuals who are hard working, motivated
and interested in developing knowledge and skills in supporting a person with long term
medical conditions.


I will be employing a personal assistant to support me with all aspects of my personal and
medical care, social and vocational life and daily living. You may be required to perform
some medical tasks but training will be provided on the job. You will be supporting me to
engage with my hobbies which include gardening, crafting, reading so ideally you will be
interested in these areas as well. You will also be required to support me with admin and
health management tasks. Alongside the daily care tasks, you will also need to be
proactive and engaging and enjoy many opportunities to have fun, trips in the community
and day trips further afield.

Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal care and daily living activities
- Assisting with meal preparation
- Performing light housekeeping duties including laundry, cleaning and organising.
- Accompanying to appointments and social outings
- Promoting and maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment
- Assistance with medication
6 hour contract (+ occasional overtime). This will be reviewed frequently and there may be
scope to increase hours. Hours/ days can be flexible around other commitments but ideally 2 hours 3 days a week. May be suitable for a student.
Preference will be given to candidates that are available Monday - Sunday and have the
ability to work flexibly. £11.44 per hour.

Essentials
- Clean DBS
- Full UK Driving licence
- Full Covid and Flu vaccinations and willing to wear appropriate PPE
- Ability to work independently and assess tasks that need completing.
- Good physical stamina - minimum requirement of being able to lift and push
manual wheelchair
- Clean and effective communication skills
- Reliable and Punctual
- Non-smoker
- Basic written English skills


Desirable
- First aid certificate and / or medication administration training
- Shared interests (gardening/ plant care, reading)
- Previous experience working in home care
