Care Worker – Sinfin, Derby DERSG0302

Are you passionate about care and do you have experience of providing great care that adds real value to a disabled person’s quality of life? Then this is the right role for you.

We are looking for female care assistant(s) who are friendly, caring, discreet, and reliable to provide personal care and prepare meals for a lady in Sinfin.

You must practice ‘person centred support’, be flexible, have great communication skills, be fluent in English, an excellent sense of humour and be organised. You must have knowledge and experience of working with someone who has severe mental ill health and physical disabilities and be able to provide appropriate support as needed which includes monitoring mood and responding accordingly.

Our client is an intelligent, ‘young at heart’, female who requires a minimum of 15 hours of support per week over 5 days.

The core call times are Monday to Friday (no weekend work is required):

9.30am to 10.30am       Personal Care

4.30pm to 5.30pm         Meal Preparation

7.30pm to 8.30pm         Personal Care

£13 p/h up to 7:30pm and £15 p/h after 7:30pm – Please note the majority of these hours are only 1 hour in duration.

In addition, there will be extra hours for supporting our client to access hydrotherapy sessions and any appointments or social activities on an ad hoc basis. A full driving licence is essential for these additional hours. Drivers must be able or willing to learn to drive an automatic car (training will be provided).

The appointable candidate(s) will be employed directly by our client, and they must apply and work within an Employer Confidentiality Policy. We will also consider anyone who wishes to work on a self-employed basis.
